Award School QLD Announces Top Three Graduates

Miguel Gadea has been awarded Top of Class at Queensland’s 2016 AWARD School graduation ceremony, which took place at The Loft West End in Brisbane on Thursday 28 July.

Second place was awarded to Ryan Kidd, followed Brett Johns and Ceri Atherton who came joint third.

AWARD School Heads Samuel Boyd and Joshua Bartlett of GPY&R, congratulated the class of 14. Commenting on the calibre of this year’s students, they said: “We are very proud of this year’s crop of students, receiving comments from judges that the work was some of the best they have seen in years. The group this year was very humble and supportive of each other. A trait we need more in young creatives. All in all, Brisbane is producing some top creative talent destined to compete with their equals with down south. Congratulations to all.”

Sam and Josh also took the opportunity to thank this year’s lecturers; tutors and judges for their time and support over the 12 week course.

The last of Australia’s five AWARD School ceremonies for 2016 is set to take place in Perth on 5th August. AWARD School is also currently running in Auckland.
