WPP AUNZ this week hosted a panel of retail experts discussing the future of commerce, in both its bricks and mortar and digital incarnations, headlined by Gwen Morrison (main photo), the Chicago-based CEO of The Store North America.
More than 100 WPP AUNZ leaders and clients attended the event at WPP’s 1 Kent Street campus on Monday night to learn how emerging technologies will shape the future of traditional retail, e-commerce, and social shopping.
Morrison, a 15-year veteran of The Store, WPP’s global retail practice, was joined by a panel of experts – from Geometry Global Singapore, AKQA Melbourne and VML Sydney – to examine how marketing principles can be applied in an era of algorithms and quantum computing.

Morrison, Draper and Brian Vella, Managing Partner of AKQA Asia Pacific, will be representing WPP AUNZ at this week’s Retail Leaders Forum in Sydney, where Australia’s major retailers gather to share industry learnings. WPP AUNZ is the only marketing group invited to the forum.
