Woolworths’ New Digital, Creative And Media Hub Officially Opens

To mark the official opening of Woolworths’ new digital, creative and media hub in the iconic Seidler building in Surry Hills, Woolworths CEO Brad Banducci, was joined by the Lord Mayor of Sydney, Clover Moore and owner of the building, Penelope Seidler AM, at an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Designed by renowned, late architect Harry Seidler, the landmark Sydney building will house approximately 250 team members across six floors from Woolworths digital arm WooliesX, creative centre Greenhouse, media business Cartology, and the newly created BIG W X.

Guests at the event included Polly Seidler, Woolies X Managing Director Amanda Bardwell, Woolworths Group Chief Marketing Officer, Andrew Hicks; Woolworths Director – Brand, Nick Chapman, Cartology Managing Director, Mike Tyquin; BIG W X General Manager, Damien Dutheil; and M&C Saatchi Creative Partner Tom McFarlane.

Given current restrictions, the attendance list was limited so formal proceedings were live streamed across the Woolworths business, and a video incorporating an exclusive tour of the building, shared more broadly following the event.

Brad Banducci, Woolworths Group CEO said: “I’m delighted to be part of today’s official opening of our new digital, creative and media hub in the iconic Seidler building.

“This hub will become a centre of excellence for digital delivery and creative brand development under one roof, and allow us to realise our ambitions for both.

“We look forward to seeing how our teams unlock the opportunities this collaborative space will provide, as we work together in shaping an incredibly exciting future in retail.”
