UnLtd’s Industry Golf Open Raises $140K For Youth At Risk

The second annual UnLtd Open golf tournament saw 30 teams across the industry swing and putt for good at the beautiful St Michael’s golf course in Little Bay with QMS taking home the trophy and Val Morgan claiming second place.

The event raised $140,000 for UnLtd, our industry’s social purpose organisation connecting the media, marketing and creative industry with charities helping children and young people at risk.

The event was sponsored by oOh! Media and saw mixed teams of four battle it out over 18 holes whilst enjoying entertainment ranging from ice cream and cocktail stations, to live music along the course. The participants also got a chance to go head to head with pro-golfer Jason King at the Foxtel Media hole.

Kristian Waller from oOh! Media said: “What a day! It was so good to be back together with our industry in person after so long and especially for such a good cause. It was a fantastic day out competing and connecting with many industry friends and colleagues and we are so proud to have been able to support the day.”

The ‘nearest to the pin’ competitions were won by Luke Creeley, Kaimera; Ian Smith, Network 10 and Scott Corcoran, ACM. The ‘longest drive’ competitions were ruled by Tim Costello, ACM; Annie Hugo, Spotify and Mark Serhan, GroupM. The best-dressed team was awarded to IPG Mediabrands.

The event was the first in-person event in NSW organised by UnLtd since the pandemic started in March and was conducted as a COVID-safe event.

Chris Freel, CEO of UnLtd said: “It’s been a tough year and being able to bring everyone back together again, in a safe way, was exactly what we all needed. It was a beautiful day of healthy competition and reconnecting with the industry and the $140K raised to help our charity partners is just incredible! A massive thank you to all the teams who participated, our sponsors and event volunteers for your support and the UnLtd team for relaunching our events in style! We are already looking forward to our Big Splash event in a few weeks!”

The teams competing were: ACM, ARN, AthletesVoice, Domain, Foxtel Media, GroupM, IPG Mediabrands, JCDecaux, Kaimera, MiQ, Network 10, Nine, Nova, OMD, oOh! Media, Pedestrian, PHD, Publicis, Quantcast, QMS, REA Group, Seven West Media, Spotify, The Guardian, The Trade Desk, UnLtd All Stars, Val Morgan and Verizon Media.
