Unions Roast ScoMo With Witty Digital Campaign, Questions If He’s Even A Sharks Fan!

Unions Roast ScoMo With Witty Digital Campaign, Questions If He’s Even A Sharks Fan!

Some may call it a low blow, but a new campaign doing the rounds of Scott Morrison’s electorate of Cook in Sydney’s south have questioned whether the apparent league-loving PM is even a Cronulla Sharks fan as he so often professes.

The campaign’s the work of Unions NSW and titled “#FakeSharksFan”. The underlying message being you can’t trust the PM on anything, possibly even his sporting allegiances.

The campaign runs on the back of a truck featuring a digital billboard and was the work of the satirical website Brown Cardigan.

It poses such question as does the PM know who legendary Sharks prop Danny Lee is? Could he spot (Sharks player) David Fifita at renowned Cronulla pub Northies? And does he even hold a (NRL ball) Steeden? A jibe at ScoMo’s unfortunate “don’t hold a hose” comment during 2020’s calamitous bushfires. The billboard also did an honorary lap past Engadine McDonald’s!

Unions NSW is hoping to raise enough cash to have the billboard to do a lap of ScoMo’s electorate on polling day next Saturday.

However, it may be a tough ask to unseat the PM. In 2019’s federal election, ScoMo won 63.7 per cent of the vote in Cook, to Labor’s 23.1 per cent and the Greens’ 6.8 per cent.
