SKY News brushes off make-up artist's comments

SKY News has separated itself from “extremely unprofessional” comments made by a freelance make-up artist after 'The People's Forum' election debate last night.

Following the debate, the make-up artist, Lily Fontana, posted on her Facebook wall in regards to the two party leaders, stating:

One of them was absolutely lovely, engaged in genuine conversation with me, acknowledge [sic] that I had a job to do and was very appreciative. The other did the exact opposite! Oh boy, I have ever [sic] had anyone treat me so badly whilst trying to do my job."

In response, today's statement from SKY read: "SKY NEWS has been made aware of comments posted on social media by a freelance make-up artist used at the Broncos Leagues Club last night. The individual is not a SKY NEWS staff member."

They also noted that “The comments posted were extremely unprofessional and we do not agree with them. We understand the post has now been removed and she has expressed her regret over the matter."

Rudd called the incident a ‘misunderstanding’ due to him being 'in the zone’ in the minutes before the nationally televised showdown with Abbott.
