Tuesday TV Wrap: The Melbourne Cup Doesn’t Horse Around & Pulls In 1.053 Million Viewers.

10’s Melbourne Cup coverage averaged 1.053 million nationally. In comparison, it had a slightly faster trot last year and brought in 1.8 million viewers nationally. 

Still, proof that it is the race that stops and divides the nation!

Nine Network’s overall share was 30.7 per cent. Seven’s Network was 24.5 per cent. The 10 Network was 19.0 per cent, ABC Network was 17.9 per cent, and SBS grabbed 7.9 per cent.

Seven News pulled in 897,000 viewers. Nine News has 759,000 viewers.

According to OzTam’s reporting, Nine’s A Current Affair grabbed 568,000 viewers.  Hot Seat brought in 344,000 viewers. Travel Guides pulled 437,000 viewers. 

Seven’s Night, The Chase pulled in 479,000 viewers. Home and Away grabbed 455,000 viewers. Dogs Behaving Very Badly pulled in 342. 000 viewers. 

10’s The Project brought in 358,000 viewers.  

ABC’s night was strong, with ABC News earning 556,000. 7.30 brought in 459,000 viewers. Stuff, The British Stole, brought in 444,000 viewers. Magda’s Big Health Check brought in 413,000 viewers.
