Thursday TV Wrap: Masterchef Turns Up The Heat

Network 10’s Masterchef Australia pulled some impressive figures last night.

The ‘high-steaks’ elimination challenge helped bring in 652,00 viewers, according to OzTam metro numbers.

Seven took home a commanding 33.3 per cent of last night’s eyeballs (all channels). Nine was second with 29.1 per cent, 10 had 17.9 per cent, the ABC did 12.9 per cent and SBS did 6.8 per cent.

Other standouts for 10 were The Project had 431,000 and 10 News First did 380,000.

Seven’s best for the night were its 6pm news 1.032 million, The Chase with 598,000, Home And Away with 563,000 and a re-run of The Chase (419,000).

Nine did well with its 6pm news (861,000), ACA (646,000), Hot Seat (545,000), a standout for RBT (454,000), Paramedics (408,000) and a re-run of Hot Seat (332,000).

9Gem brought out a few sports fans with its ICC Cricket World Cup coverage of Australia v Bangladesh with 348,000 tuning in.

For the ABC, its standouts were its 7pm news (633,000), 7.30 (437,000) and Escape From The City (347,000).
