Taste.com.au Launches Annual Great Aussie Eating Survey

News Corp Australia’s leading food brand taste.com.au has launched its annual Great Aussie Eating Survey across taste.com.au with the support of the News Corp Australia Sunday mastheads from this weekend.

Running for four weeks the Great Aussie Eating Survey has been designed to discover the nutritional health status of Australia.

Now in its fourth year, the study will provide a look at the gap between respondents’ perception of the health of their diet against reality, based on the key nutritional food groups. Every respondent will receive a free personalised health report and diet score, along with a recommended meal plan.

Taste.com.au editor-in-chief Brodee Myers-Cooke said: “Healthy eating is one of the biggest trends we’ve seen over the last few years, however despite unprecedented interest and engagement in healthy content, each year the results we’ve seen from this study provide a reality check on Australians’ eating habits.

“Australian adults are falling short of meeting the recommended daily intake of the key dietary food groups.

“Taste.com.au has influence on millions of meals every year and we want to use this position to improve the diet of the nation. To do this, we are making healthy eating accessible and easy for everyone.

“With the support of the wider News Corp Australia network we want to encourage as many people as possible take our annual survey so that we capture a true picture of the eating habits of the nation. I’m really looking forward to seeing what the study will reveal this year.”

The state-by-state survey insights will be used to fuel the continued expansion of taste.com.au’s Eat Real platform.

Eat Real is designed to bust food myths, change perceptions, and prove once and for all, that healthy eating can be easy, low budget and your family’s favourite dinner. Two years on and Eat Real’s ecosystem includes its own podcast, dedicated social media channels and range of cookbooks.
