Indie media agency Taska Media has won the national media business for ResMed.
Its media campaign for ResMed will run across digital, social, search, catch up TV, free to air TV, OOH and radio along with an activation at the upcoming Presidents Cup in Melbourne.
ResMed Australia & New Zealand head of marketing Line Andersen commented: “This is our first step into consumer media in Australia so we needed an agency partner that was fast and flexible.
“We were attracted to Taska because it’s an independent, boutique shop, and it demonstrated the nimbleness and responsiveness we were looking for.
“We’re on a mission to help more Australians get the sleep they deserve, and Taska really demonstrated an understanding of this, right from our very first conversations.”
The ResMed win follows Taska Media’s securing the entire national media business of Australia’s largest consumer events company, Exhibition & Events Australia (EEA), in November last year, for which the agency has delivered a full suite of television, radio, out of home, digital, partnerships and publisher-focused media buying.
Awareness about the importance of sleep has grown enormously in the last few years. A recent government report, released in April this year, highlighted the fact that just five bad nights of sleep can induce a pre-diabetic state, and in men can lead to a dramatic reduction in testosterone.
Taska Media partner and digital, Lead Shaun Warry said: “There’s so much emphasis on diet and exercise but not too much on sleep.
“The purpose of the campaign is not to talk about yawning and being tired but about having a better quality of life.”
Taska Media was founded in 2013 by Christian Simon, with Shaun Warry (pictured together, featured image) joining the agency in 2015.
