Seven scored a ratings boost with the lucrative Super Bowl 50, reaching 1.75 million Aussies across the metro and regional markets.
According to OzTAM and RegTAM reports, 1.2 million Aussies in the metropolitan markets watched all or part of Seven’s coverage.
The coverage of the match delivered a peak TV audience of just over 900,000 viewers, up 13 per cent on 2015, while live streaming brought the number even higher.
Beyond the Seven and 7mate broadcasts, the Super Bowl brought 185,000 live streams and over 2.5 million minutes live streamed via PLUS7 and 7live.com.au.
The concurrent (peak) audience for streaming was almost 50,000 – during the half time entertainment.
The stats have thus dubbed the Super Bowl the biggest non-tennis streaming day post Melbourne Cup Day, with over 250,000 live streams during the day.
