Nine’s go-to – comics Hamish and Andy – have once again proved a viewer winner with the duo’s Perfect Holiday debuting to strong numbers last night.

The offbeat travel show pulled 881,0000 according to OzTAM metro numbers and saw off Seven’s returning Zumbo’s Just Desserts that could only muster 446,000.

Nine won the night with 33 per cent of all of last night’s eyeballs. Seven had 26.2 per cent, the ABC had 16.9 per cent, 10 did 13.8 per cent and SBS hid a rare double figures and 10.1 per cent.

In the battle of the 6pm news bulletins, Seven (905,000) saw off Nine (765,000).

Meanwhile, 60 Minutes (568,000) retained its dominance over soon-to-be-defunct Sunday Night (331,000).

Over at 10, its best was The Sunday Project (320,000), followed by NCIS (267,000), The Graham Norton Show (272,000) and 10 News First (240,000).

The ABC’s evening ran this way: 7pm news (683,000), Total Control (536,000) and Pangolins: Narrated By David Attenborough (420,000).

Over at SBS, its best was Secrets of The Railway that chugged along to 262,000.
