French designer Jean Paul Gaultier’s signature Le Male Parfum is now a quarter-of-a-century old and, judging by a current outdoor campaign in Australian capital cities, appears to be still going strong.
And now the iconic still image of two French sailors in an arm-wrestle has come to life in a stunning new TVC via French agency Mazarine.
The spot’s stacked with shirtless sailors and corsetted sopranos and has nods throughout to Le Male’s famed torso bottles.
Like a lot of Jean Paul Gaultier’s work it makes no sense at all, but it’s undoubtedly an absurd visual and aural treat. Check out the raunch-ladened work below:
