R/GA Regional Vice President & ECD Bob Mackintosh To Exit

Global creative agency R/GA has announced that its vice president and executive creative director for the Asia-Pacific region, Bob Mackintosh, is set to take time out from the industry in the name of adventure.

Mackintosh will leave R/GA later this month to travel around the globe with his family for the remainder of 2019.

He has worked in the regional VP and ECD roles since June 2017. Prior to that, he was the ECD at Host Sydney, which has since merged with Havas Sydney to form Host/Havas.

R/GA’s global CEO, Sean Lyons, said: “We’re sad to see Bob go and more than a little bit envious of his plans, but he’s leaving the creative teams and work in very capable hands.

“Bob has built and led our creative leadership in the region and done so with wit and grace.”

R/GA founder Bob Greenberg added: “Fearlessness and curiosity are two of the qualities that we most cherish in our people, and stepping away from a job you love into the great unknown takes both.

“It’s a rare opportunity that Bob has seized, and he leaves with everyone’s best wishes and an inkling that, as is often the case at R/GA, our paths may converge again in the future.”

R/GA said in a statement that it was “looking forward to announcing Bob’s replacement shortly”.
