REVEALED: All The Finalists For The 2021 Snapchat Young Lions Competition

The Misfits Media Company, the official Cannes Lions Festival representative in Australia, has announced the shortlist of finalists for the 2021 Snapchat Young Lions Competition.

Over 50 industry judges across Australia have determined the finalists who will now go on to the second and final round of the competition, where those shortlisted in the Digital, Film, Media and Marketing categories will receive a 24-hour brief (48-hour for Film), emulating the international competition format in Cannes.

David Hovenden, CEO of The Misfits, said: “A year on and toilet paper jokes are no longer funny. Nor is the prospect of international travel remaining, but a fantasy for the next year as well.

“Regardless of their being no carrot of a week in the south of France, this year’s crop of Young Lions entrants from Down Under have once again done us proud. Truly some amazing talent on display and I applaud all finalists for their work.”

The second-round brief will be shared with all finalists on Tuesday 4 May. Those in the Digital, Media and Marketing categories will have to present a response 24 hours later in a live pitching round on Wednesday 5 May. The Film category finalists are given 48 hours to submit their response on Thursday 6 May and are not required to present live.

The winners of this final round will be announced on Thursday 6 May at a cocktail party for finalists and judges, and will then represent Australia virtually at the 2021 Cannes Young Lions global competition in June.
