Queensland University Of Technology Appoints VMLY&R As Full-Service Creative Agency After 23 Years With BCM

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) has appointed VMLY&R as its full-service creative agency following an extensive tender process.

The new partnership will see QUT use the full breadth of VMLY&R’s services including brand, creative, digital experience, and content.

“We’re delighted to partner with QUT and look forward to working on such a highly regarded brand; one which provides transformative education, student experiences and research,” said Adam Kennedy, managing director of VMLY&R Brisbane.

“Evolving and growing QUT’s brand across the entire student journey is a once in a generation opportunity for us.”

Xavier Amouroux, executive director, marketing & communication at QUT, added: “We have found in VMLY&R a partner that will deliver cutting-edge creative and digital thinking, and also has the right cultural fit with our team, partners and the wider university. We are looking forward to working in partnership with them.”

QUT had previously spent 23 years working with BCM as its agency partner but decided to retender its $6 million creative account in September. More than 20 agencies including CHEP, Publicis, and Clemenger Group were supposed to have expressed their interest in the account.
