It’s probably the ultimate blessing when the Pope says he likes what you do. It’s the sentiment 12 YouTubers were treated to when they were received by the Pontiff in the Vatican City recently, according to The Guardian.
Pope Francis held an intimate meeting with the vloggers (video bloggers) from all over the world.
The Guardian is reporting Pope Francis praised one British beauty blogger, Louise Pentland who vlogs about beauty and fashion on the channel Sprinkle of Glitter, for her fashion tips.
“I am glad that you carry out the type of work you said, following the line of beauty, it’s a great thing,” he said.
“To preach beauty and show beauty helps neutralise aggression.”
Pope Francis encouraged the vloggers to help their fans who felt lost.
“You can create a virtual identity; you belong to this circle at least virtually,” he said.
“From that you can start taking a path of optimism and hope.”
In Pentland’s video clip while in Italy, ‘Being Brave in Rome’, she introduced some of the other vloggers on the “Vatican adventure” with her.
“We’re going to use our voices for more, than just what we’re doing at the moment,” Pentland said in her video. Check it out here.
