PlayStation 5 Launches ‘The PS5 Show’ With MMA Champion Rob Whittaker Joining For Episode One

To showcase the gaming possibilities of the recently launched PlayStation 5, Sony Interactive Entertainment has launched a local content series, The PS5 Show, via earned creative agency Poem.

In each 5-minute video The PS5 Show host Nich Richardson will explore key features of the PlayStation 5, whilst showcasing some of the stunning games players can experience on the all-new next-generation console. New episodes will drop throughout 2021, with celebrity gamers and gaming influencers joining Nich on the sofa as they experience everything PS5 has to offer.

To kick off the series, Nich is joined by MMA Middleweight Champion and gaming superfan, Rob Whittaker. Nich challenges Rob to take on the power of PlayStation 5 by playing the notoriously challenging, Demon’s Souls. Rob then puts Nich’s power to the test with a challenge of his own as he reveals the secret to a powerful kick.

As we move past the launch window, we want to showcase all the gaming possibilities of PlayStation 5 which our players may not be aware of or anticipated. As more people get their hands on PS5 this year, The PS5 Show will be the perfect place for gamers to check out and discover all the latest and greatest games & features of the system. We’re really excited to see how our community reacts to this and future episodes coming later this year.”

The PS5 Show will run across PlayStation Australia social channels, guest talent’s social pages, on console and PlayStation.com with paid digital implemented by MediaCom.
