Nova Brisbane’s Jay Walkerden Departs Following Internal Investigation

Nova’s Brisbane general manager and head of podcasting Jay Walkerden has departed the business after an internal investigation involving an alleged incident on a work trip to the US.

The incident allegedly involved a member of the Ash, Kip, Luttsy & Susie breakfast show while on a work trip to California.

A Nova Entertainment spokesperson told B&T: “We confirm that Jay Walkerden has left NOVA Entertainment, departing the role of Head of Podcasting & Program Director of Nova 106.9.

“Further information will be provided in relation to the future and composition of these roles in due course.”

Alongside his general manager duties, Walkerden was also head of podcasting for the network.

It remains unknown who will oversee his responsibilities in the interim.

Prior to joining Nova as program director in 2011, Walkerden worked at CMC Media as programming director and group program controller at Global Media in the UK. He began his career at Southern Cross Austereo, where he worked for 14 years.
