Australia’s leading regionally based private health insurer, GMHBA, has appointed independent media agency Half Dome to undertake its full-service media, managing performance across both digital and offline channels.
Following a competitive pitch, Half Dome has been appointed to deliver media strategy, planning and implementation across both GMHBA Health Insurance and Frank Health Insurance for both offline and digital channels.
Founded in Geelong, GMHBA is a 100 per cent member-based, not-for-profit private health insurance and care company that has served the community for more than 85 years and is Australia’s biggest regionally-based health insurance company.
In 2009, GMHBA launched Frank Health Insurance to offer clear and simple health insurance options to Australians.
GMHBA Chief Marketing Officer, Helen Stevens (main photo), said: “We are so pleased to be working with Half Dome. There is an obvious alignment in our cultural values that puts people first, and throughout the pitch, the team demonstrated a strong understanding of the challenges our business faces.
“From the outset their approach has been proactive and refreshingly pragmatic. We’re confident that together we will elevate the performance of our media mix to deliver growth for GMHBA and Frank.”
Half Dome, managing director, Tom Frazer, said: “We are thrilled to be working with GMHBA and Frank Health Insurance which have built an ambitious and high-performing team that we believe aligns well with our growing agency.
“Pitching can sometimes be transactional and laborious, however the GMHBA team were extremely professional throughout the process and brought an infectious energy with every interaction. This has set the tone for what we look forward to being a long and prosperous relationship, and we’re excited to be part of that growth and maturity for years to come.”
Half Dome Head of Client Solutions, Rhett Mitchelhill, said: “Working with the GMHBA and Frank Health Insurance brands is a very exciting opportunity for us. Right from the start, we resonated with their values and culture through every step of the process. The GMHBA team is passionate about their brands and have great aspirations for growth, which we look forward to being a key part of.”
The GMHBA appointment follows Half Dome’s recent client wins, including Australian pet company Petspiration Group, Australian skincare company Ego Pharmaceuticals and the Melbourne Racing Club.
