According to research from Measurement company Nielsen, Tinder and OkCupid users are most likely to jump on the app when waking up in the morning and before going to bed.

Nielsen- which just announced it would start tracking social media postings about TV shows– studied 9,000 people’s phone data revealing that people spend more time on dating apps between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Love-hungry people are semi-active on Tinder between 10am and 10pm, while OkCupid users sort drop off mid-day before peaking in the evening and early morning:

“When we look at unique audience, we see that a larger percentage of all OKC users sign in both in the morning and night,” a Nielsen statement said. “On Tinder, the user’s likelihood to check in between noon and midnight is mostly flat at about 40 percent.”

B&T wonders what the data is for Friday and Saturday night when the pub closes.
