Nicole Kidman’s viral AMC ad was so good that it is now getting a The Big Little Lies treatment and getting a sequel.
Kidman’s AMC ad went viral because it was more like a mini-movie than an advert. The ad, which set out to get people back to the movies, featured Kidman giving a powerful speech and wearing an incredible pinstriped suit.
The spot, called “We Make Movies Better”, saw Kidman deliver a powerful eulogy to the sheer joy of going to see a movie sans the sticky seats and incessant Lollie packet rustling.
It went viral for being fabulous, and now a sequel has been confirmed.
Kidman has been having a bit of a moment currently. She’s been going viral for her clever and buzz-worthy magazine covers and now this ad! Soon, Keith Urban won’t even need to make ends meet by being a judge on reality singing shows – kidding.
Vanity Fair has confirmed that the screenwriter behind Kidman’s ad has confirmed the ad is getting a part two.
Billy Ray (not the country singer) said: “I got a text from the chairman of AMC about a month ago asking me if I would write the next one, and of course, the answer to that is yes! It’s already written.”
He also clarified that Kidman would be returning and said: “Of course, it’s with Nicole! I’m not doing it without Nicole.”
