“Content is an increasingly important part of a clients’ marketing strategies and the announcement of this role shows that News Queensland is keen to take a leading role in this area.”

Mr Crisp said: “No one understands the value of content better than News Corp Australia. I’m looking forward to working with our advertisers to uncover their stories and then help share them using the News Corp network of digital and print brands.”

Mr Crisp comes from a strong journalism background having worked as editor of The Sunday Times (Perth), deputy editor of The Sunday Mail (Brisbane), night editor of The Courier-Mail (Brisbane), editor-in-chief of the Cumberland Newspaper Group and national travel editor of the Escape lift-out in the Sunday metro mastheads.
