News’ Campbell Reid Expands Corporate Affairs Role, As Foxtel’s Bruce Meagher Exits

News Corp’s director of corporate affairs Campbell Reid (main photo) will expand his role to incorporate Foxtel and FOX SPORTS Australia, News Corp executive chairman Michael Miller and Foxtel CEO Patrick Delany announced today.

In this wider role as group executive – corporate affairs, policy and government relations, Campbell will lead the company’s corporate communications, public policy strategy and government relations across its publishing and broadcast assets.

This appointment follows the announcement that Foxtel’s group director corporate affairs, Bruce Meagher will be leaving the business.

Announcing the appointment Miller said: “I have asked Campbell to take on group-wide responsibilities and bring a collaborative, whole-of-company approach to the role of corporate, government affairs and policy across our businesses.”

Delany commented: “Campbell’s passion for what we do and his deep knowledge of the company and its ambitions makes him uniquely qualified to lead this process.”

Reid said: “I am excited by the opportunity to help Australia’s most passionate storytellers achieve their ambitions for the future. I look forward to working with the talented teams across the News Corp family.”

This appointment follows the announcement that Foxtel’s group director corporate affairs, Bruce Meagher will be leaving the business.

Delany said of Meagher’s leaving: “Bruce has done a terrific job leading the Corporate Affairs team for the last six years and has used his great intellect and relationship skills to deliver many significant outcomes. We wish him well for the future.”
