Seven’s coverage of the Brownlow Medal last night (won by Richmond’s Dustin Martin) pulled 654,000 viewers in Melbourne last night and handed the broadcaster the evening’s bragging rights.
Seven pulled a whopping 39.6 per cent audience share on the back of the medal presentation, followed by Nine with 23.8 per cent, Ten had 16.2 per cent, the ABC (minus Q&A) had 14 per cent and SBS with 6.4 per cent.
However, the invincible The Block (1.12 million) was still the most watched show of the night.
Seven’s 6pm news bulletin had 1.03 million, followed by Home and Away (578,000), The Chase (537,000), Highway Patrol (384,000) and World’s Angriest was 285,000.
Nine’s news managed 997,000, then A Current Affair (859,000), Hot Seat (497,000) and the movie Four Weddings and a Funeral (285,000).
Ten’s Australian Survivor pulled 625,000 and the topsy-turvy Have You Been Paying Attention? managed 579,000.
Over at the ABC, its night went thus: 7pm news (734,000), 7:30 (648,000), Australian Story (642,000), Four Corners (432,000), Media Watch (324,000), Grand Designs (204,000) and Unconquered: The Invictus Games (165,000).
For the SBS, London’s Super Tunnel was its standout with 223,000.
