WPP worldwide has appointed Toby Jenner as global CEO of Wavemaker.
He will commence the position in September this year.
Current CEO of sister agency MediaCom, Jenner brings with him a wealth of skills and international experience, having worked in the US, Europe and Asia.
Jenner’s appointment ends a fairly long period of limbo for WPP’s newest media agency Wavemaker, which has not had a CEO since December last year.
Wavemaker was born in early 2018 when GroupM, the media buying division of WPP, merged with MEC with the majority of Maxus.
Jenner has been with MediaCom for 11 years, in roles such as APAC chief operating officer and CEO of Australasia.
Wavemaker is a top five global media agency with $13 billion ($AU18.5b) in billings, according to COMvergence.
