MediaCom Appoints Andy Mulrenan As Head Of Entertainment

MediaCom has today announced the appointment of Andy Mulrenan to the role of head of the entertainment division (TED), formally business director at Havas Media Group.

Mulrenan succeeds Ben McCallum, who was promoted internally to general manager of MediaCom Sydney.

Mulrenan’s career began as a TV Trader at ZenithOptimedia in London where he managed the media investment for the Telco brand O2 across both consumer and B2B categories.

After relocating to Australia in 2007, he moved into a planning and client servicing role at OMD where he was client lead across a number of clients including Frucor, Schwarzkopf and Wrigley.

A high-calibre appointment for MediaCom, Mulrenan has a depth of knowledge and experience across several categories including FMCG (Jacobs Douwe Egberts, Goodman Fielder, PVM), Technology (Apple, PayPal, LG), Government (NSW Government), Fin Tech (OFX) and Travel (Emirates, Dubai Tourism).

Within his new remit, Mulrenan will lead MediaCom’s Entertainment team with the responsibility of driving growth across clients including Universal, Sony, Dell and News Corp to deliver best in class business results.

With over 14 years in the industry, Mulrenan boasts a plethora of achievements including award wins at global and local level including MFA and Cannes awards for the Wrigley 5X campaign and an MFA finalist for Schwarzkopf’s Under the Cover campaign.
