whiteGREY Snares Deepend’s Juan Garcia For New Head Of Tech Role

WPP’s specialist technology and creative agency whiteGREY has appointed Juan Garcia (right in photo) as head of technology, boosting the agency’s digital capabilities.

Lee Simpson (left), CEO whiteGREY, said this is a pivotal role on the exec team of the agency with responsibility for leading a team of highly creative and specialised practitioners , delivering creative technology solutions across a range of clients.

“Having someone of Juan’s calibre join our senior management team is a significant move to reinforce the tech capabilities of the agency,” said Simpson.  

“As head of technology Juan will play a crucial role to drive the agency’s tech capabilities and he brings global experience and skills across large platform builds as well as a great mind for creative technology to the team.  We are delighted he is joining us to shape and drive digital solutions at a time when the agency is being recognised for this work at award shows like Cannes and Effies.” 

Most recently with Deepend as head of technology, Garcia originally hales from Spain where his passion for tech and electronics led to a strong record of international experience in the likes of London, San Francisco and Sydney leading in-house and co-located development teams. He now boasts over 15 years of experience, specialising in lean software development and data-driven applications with a focus on delivering personalised customer experiences. 

Garcia said of his new role, “I’m delighted to be joining whiteGREY as the role combines my love of both creative tech & digital transformations. My key responsibility is to marry technology with creative ideas and deliver premium digital solutions to a highly engaged audience for our clients and key partners.  I can’t wait to get started.”
