Tuesday TV Wrap: Ninja & The Cricket Hand It To Nine

Australian Ninja Warrior was the most watched entertainment show of Tuesday, but probably the biggest surprise was the 344,000 that tuned in to Nine to watch the rain-delayed Cricket World Cup semi-final between India and New Zealand.

Ninja did 879,000 viewers according to OzTAM metro numbers and handed Nine a Tuesday night win with 31.1 per cent audience share (all channels). Seven had to settle for 28.4 per cent, 10 had a neat 18, the ABC did 13.1 per cent and SBS did 9.4 per cent on the back of Every Family Has A Secret (279,000).

Seven’s 6pm news (1.059 million) was the most watched show of the night, while other standouts for the network included The Chase (658,000), Home And Away (644,000), House Rules (552,000) and Andrew Denton: Interview (347,000).

10’s night went this way: MasterChef (630,000), The Project (508,000), 10 News First (387,000) and Todd Sampson’s Bodyhack (278,000).

In the battle for breakfast, Sunrise (256,000) toppled Today (183,000).

Nine’s other highlights were its 6pm news (877,000), ACA (788,000) and Hot Seat (516,000).

The ABC’s night ran thus: 7pm news (605,000), 7.30 (451,000) and Ask The Doctor (282,000).
