It’s done, it’s dusted and in some ways re-wrote the TV playbook, as Lego Master’s finale pulled a whopping 1.49 million viewers last night according to OzTAM metro numbers.

On top of MAFS’ phenomenal success, Lego Masters has proven viewers have an appetite for new programs and it’s hardly surprising to hear Nine chiefs are scrambling for new series of both.

Lego’s success last night meant both Seven’s and 10’s offerings were always on for a bit of a hiding.

In that respect, MasterChef took bragging rights over House Rules, winning 592,000 to 533,000, respectively.

Nine won Tuesday with 33.1 per cent of the audience share. Seven had to settle for 25.2 per cent, 10 had 18.2 per cent, the ABC did 14.8 per cent and SBS did 8.8 per cent on the back of Who Do You Think You Are? (331,000).

Other highlights for Nine included its 6pm news bulletin with 933,000, ACA did 810,000, The Big Bang Theory had 703,000, Hot Seat did 573,000 and a repeat of The Big Bang Theory pulled 461,000.

Over at Seven, its 6pm news bulletin did 1.41 million, Home And Away had 638,000, The Chase did 619,000 and Andrew Denton’s Interview pulled 378,000.

For 10, The Project had 473,000, 10 News First did 441,000 and Mr Black had 278,000.

The ABC’s night went thus: 7pm news (700,000), 7.30 (520,000) and a repeat of Joanna Lumley’s Silk Road Adventure (286,000).

In the battle for breakfast, Sunrise (271,000) beat Today (198,000).
