Tonic Health Media & The Pink Elephants Support Network Combine For Pregnancy Loss

Tonic Health Media, Australia’s leading health and wellbeing network has partnered with The Pink Elephants Support Network to support women and their partners after pregnancy loss.

One in four pregnancies end in miscarriage. Furthermore 60 per cent of women who had the loss of their baby confirmed at their GP left empty handed and didn’t know who to turn to for ongoing support.

In response, The Pink Elephants Support Network has joined forces with Tonic Health Media to provide 100,000 take-home pamphlets at 5300 G.P practices across Australia.

This information includes details about online communities and peer support programs so a woman can be connected to and build a meaningful relationship with another woman who has experienced pregnancy loss and will provide empathy and understanding.

The Pink Elephants Support Network are a not for profit charity, formed to support women through miscarriage, pregnancy loss and beyond.

According to The Pink Elephants Support Network CEO Sam Payne, women and their partner need support through their grief; time to heal; and empowerment as they move into the future.

“This is such a highly emotional time and no couple should walk the journey of early pregnancy loss alone.

“We can’t thank Tonic Health Media enough for leveraging its extensive media network and for helping couples in their time of need.

“So, if you’re in your local GP please ensure you look out for our resources,” Payne added.

Tonic commercial director, Jack Mortlock (main photo), said: “We love the vital work The Pink Elephants Support Network is doing to provide much needed support to couples during such a difficult time.

“Pregnancy loss affects a large proportion of our community. We jumped at the chance to partner with The Pink Elephants Support Network and use the extensive Tonic network to provide support resources and information when and where it is needed most.

“As a company we like to walk the talk and are committed to making a positive difference for all Australians,” Mortlock said.
