Pedestrian.tv Launches Teen-Focused Website

Aussie publisher Pedestrian.tv has announced it has launched a new website aimed at Aussie teenagers.

‘Pez’ will feature pop-culture news, video, memes and features targeted to high school-aged readers around everything from body image, mental health, sex, dating, friendships, bullying, study tips, schoolies, and formals.

The site will be accessed via its own sub-domain, www.pedestrian.tv/pez, features a unique look and feel to the main Pedestrian.tv website, and will feature standalone social channels across Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter.

Pedestrian.tv co-founder Chris Wirasinha said: “Since we first started Pedestrian, our goal has been to create the most expansive and immersive platform for young Australians.

“We’re thrilled to launch pez and speak credibly to this hard-to-reach audience, and fill the gap left by the decline of traditional titles for Aussie teens.”

Josephine Rozenberg-Clarke, head of editorial at Pedestrian.tv, said: “While prepping the launch of pez, we’ve worked with 13 to 17-year-olds to find out what they want to discover more about – whether it’s how to handle the stress of year 12, navigating sexual health and body image issues, or if those two people from Riverdale are actually dating.

“Pez is an inclusive space for all young people to be informed, empowered and entertained as they navigate the ever-changing world around them.”
