News Corp Faces Legal Action Over Copyright Of Barnaby Joyce Photo

An ex-photographer of MP Tony Abbott and News Corp has lawyered up over The Daily Telegraph’s use of a photo he took with embattled deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce.

Brad Hunter claims he took a selfie with Joyce and his now partner Vicki Campion at an Armidale pub in 2016, which has since been used by The Daily Telegraph in its recent coverage of the couple’s affair without his permission, according to ABC News.

Hunter said the News Corp masthead accessed the pic from his Facebook profile and cropped him out of it completely.

Lawyers of the photographer, who also happened to be a colleague of Campion during their time at News, are looking to get Hunter compensated for The Daily Telegraph’s use of the copyrighted image.
