Mark Geyer Quits Triple M’s ‘The Grill Team’ To Focus On Network’s NRL Coverage

Triple M radio host Mark ‘MG’ Geyer has announced he’ll be sleeping in for the next few years as he joins Triple M’s NRL coverage full-time from 2018.

MG has been the tallest member of Triple M’s The Grill Team since it began in 2009, and following its 2,000th show celebrations last week, he’s decided it’s the right time to shift his focus to his two greatest passions in life – family and footy.

“My daughter Rafferty was a baby when I started breakfast radio. She’s now 10 and I’ve never been able to drop her at school,” MG told The Grill Team on air.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better way to have spent the past eight years; with our Triple M listeners and The Grill Team family! I’ll certainly miss the daily laughs but I’m really excited for a new adventure with Triple M NRL,” he said.

MG will call footy each weekend on Triple M’s national NRL coverage, as well as star in a new NRL based weekday show. He’ll also still be appearing regularly with The Grill Team throughout the footy season.
