Kyle Sandilands’ On-Air Bombshell: “In Radio, Everyone Roots Each Other!”

[B&T advises that this article deals with adult themes] Houston, we have reached a new low!

Yes, Kyle Sandilands is definitely back for 2018 and is already over-sharing to his loyal listening flock.

The latest bombshell came on his KIIS FM breakfast show this morning when he revealed that working in radio was apparently one, big hot-bed of interoffice sex. Well, it certainly appears that way for the 46-year-old “shock jock”.

Sandilands revealed to co-host Jackie O and his band of merry listeners that he reckoned he’d slept with as many as 40 colleagues during his 25-year career in the radio business.

“In radio, everyone roots each other. Well not at all stations,” Sandilands revealed. However, he was quick to clarify that he’d “not slept with anyone here” at the ARN-owned KIIS FM.

B&T has contacted ARN for clarification of Sandilands’ comments, however, it declined the offer saying his apparent cavorting was done while he was employed at rival broadcaster, Southern Cross Austereo. Suggesting we harangue them instead.

When Jackie O quizzed him on how many co-workers he thought he’d slept with, Sandilands added: “I’ve had about forty, over the career.”

To which Jackie O quipped: “Oh I would believe that.”

Jackie O then admitted to sleeping with one colleague  – the DJ “Ugly” Phil O’Neill – who, admittedly, she was married to at the time.

Sandilands comments come at time of intense scrutiny of sexual harassment in Australia’s media industry. Both Don Burke and Craig McLachlan have recently been accused of harassing female colleagues, while industry crusader, Tracy Spicer, has threatened to “out” as many as 60 senior men in media for their philandering.
