Is Karl Stefanovic Set To Quit The Today Show?

Look, B&T tries not to get its news leads from trashy gossip mags (who are we kidding? Of course we do), however, notorious weekly New Idea is today reporting that Karl Stefanovic wants out of Today and is preparing for a move to the US.

According to the article, Stefanovic, who recently separated from his wife, wants to chase new love, Jasmine Yarbrough, to the US where she works as a model.

The article said: “Karl met with lawyers to explore options around leaving the breakfast show and becoming Nine’s US bureau chief so he can be close to his girlfriend.”

It’s not just for love, as Stefanovic wants a new role, apparently bored of his early morning hosting responsibilities.

Stefanovic often reports from the US – most recently the Presidential elections – and is well know for doing tougher journalism including reporting for Nine’s 60 Minutes.

However, it remains to be seen what would become of Stefanovic’s three kids if he did make the move.

New Idea also quotes a “Nine insider” who said: “He knows he would take a pay cut, but would love to relocate to the US in a similar role.”
