GRIT Communications Grows With A New Director

GRIT Communications, based in Melbourne with studios above the famous Prahran Market, is now greater with Andrew Boal recently joining as a director.

After leaving DDB Melbourne to join Digitas New York as digital creative director, then creative director of The Farm in Sydney, Boal has returned home to lead the GRIT digital team.

The growth of the digital offering at GRIT includes the rapidly expanding video and branded content area, with Boal’s New York trained directing and cinematography skills bringing a strong complement to the strength of the design and print area led by Taso Katsionis.

GRIT’s DNA is in the digital space offering high-level strategy, UX, UI, social, and video content. He previously worked with Taso Katsionis and Mark Gandolfo, the founders of GRIT, at Visual Purple/neoPurple, which were leading, award winning digital agencies in the noughties.

‘It’s great that we’re all working together again, and Andrew is able to add even more ‘grit and determination’ to the growing team.’ said Gandolfo.

Katsionis added: ‘GRIT has recently won some exciting new projects for clients in the video and branded content areas, so Andrew’s arrival is an added bonus’.

Boal said it was great to be back in Melbourne and able to help drive new business and growth for a very talented but slightly under the radar comms company which has grown the number of new clients in this financial year already.

Whilst enjoying all the benefits of being based above the Prahran Market in Melbourne, the company works with clients across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Hong Kong.
