Fox International Channels Appoints Director Of Advertising And Partnership

Fox International Channels (FIC) Australia announced the appointment of Julia Scales as director of advertising and partnerships to drive FIC commercial opportunities across TV and digital.

Scales joins FIC from Fremantle Media as Partnership Manager, where she was responsible for commercialising Fremantle programs, creating and delivering bespoke client solutions and generating brand partnerships for high rating series including X Factor, The Great Australian Bake Off, Grand Designs Australia, Family Feud and Dancing with the Stars.

With over 12 years’ experience across TV, Digital and Radio, Scales brings with her a wealth of experience in media account management, sponsorship, client promotions, brand solutions as well as strong industry contacts.

Prior to joining Fremantle, Scales held senior partnership, sponsorship and client specialist roles successfully at MTV, Viacom and Sky Media UK, 2DayFM, GCap Media UK, and Nova 969.

Scales will report to FIC managing director, Australia and New Zealand Jacqui Feeney and will oversee all local and pan regional advertising as well as brand funded content revenues for all FIC channels in Australia and NZ.

Feeney said: “Julia has terrific skills that align with how TV or screen advertising partnerships are evolving. At FIC we pride ourselves on being leaders in creative integration. Julia has a particular passion for our key National Geographic and FX brands that will ensure we deliver the best partnership opportunities for our existing and new clients. I am delighted she’s joining our team.’

Scales said: ‘I’m thrilled to be joining FIC at such an exciting time. With the launch of fresh new content across all channels, brands will have the opportunity to tell their own stories on truly engaging platforms. I can’t wait to work with the team and MCN to develop original solutions.”

Scales starts her new role on Monday 24 August, 2015.
