Ex-WPP Senior Staffers Join Indie Agency Yoke

Former WPP senior agency staff David Evans (ex Designworks and Landor) and Ash Mustchin (ex Wunderman and VMLY&R) have joined independent agency Yoke.

Evans (feature image) joins as general manager while Mustchin joins as director of innovation and technology.

As executive director of client service at Designworks (then Landor), Evans secured a number of significant new business wins while delivering strong organic revenue growth with existing accounts for the agency over his four years.

Evans held successful relationships with many of Australia’s most dynamic brands including Kmart, Officeworks, Vision Australia, Stockland, CPA Australia, 7-Eleven, City of Melbourne, Orica and Woolworths. David’s experience as a team builder and brand thinker are a big part of Yoke pivoting towards more client-first processes and value-based outcomes.

Prior to joining Yoke, Mustchin’s tenure at Principals saw him establish the agency’s capabilities in brand experience and digital with such clients as Australian Unity, federal government.

He also held positions as head of digital and CX at VMLY&R and programme director at Wunderman UK. Mustchin’s expertise in digital prototyping and design sprints will help transform the scope of the agency’s strategic brand-led marketing work.

Mustchin said: “It’s such an exciting time to be in an independent agency where you can create your own destiny’ says Ash. ‘As such, we’re investing heavily in CX and data to better work with our clients on data-informed strategies that can lead to beautiful creative executions.

“A lot of people have had a curious response when I mentioned I’ve moved across to Yoke. I can’t wait to share some of the work we’re doing and demonstrate a new Yoke.”

Yoke’s client roster includes Australian Education Union, ELEVEN Australia, IELTS, Libra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Monash University, Museums Victoria, and Sigma Healthcare.
