Confirmed! Sandilands To Host Ten’s New ‘Trial By Kyle’

It may be a decade since Ten sacked Kyle Sandilands from Australian Idol, but it appears the hatchet has well and truly been buried after the network confirmed the shock jock’s on-screen return.

Yesterday, Sandilands announced on his radio show that he would indeed be hosting Ten’s Judge Judy rip-off, a show set to be called Trial By Kyle.

As yet, Ten has not confirmed the news, however, B&T has contacted it for comment.

Actual details of the show remain sketchy, but as B&T first reported on when rumours of the show started circulating in early June, it’s set to involve Sandilands attempting to resolve issues between celebrities and members of the public.

On his radio show yesterday, Sandilands revealed he was only returning to Ten because the money was right.

Ten famously sacked him in 2009 after a live radio stunt caused widespread outrage when Sandilands questioned a 14-year-old girl about her sex life and subsequent rape.

“I hold grudges normally, a lot of people think that, but I don’t, because I am returning to Channel Ten, the people who terribly fired me back in the day,” Sandilands said.
