Buchan Appointed As HCF’s New PR Agency

Buchan has been appointed as PR agency for HCF after a competitive pitch. The PR review concludes a wider marketing agency review and follows the appointment of new creative and media agencies by the leading health insurance company.

Established in 1932, HCF is Australia’s largest not-for-profit health fund, and is well known as an established and dependable brand. HCF health insurance covers more than 1.5 million Australians.

Jenny Williams, HCF chief marketing officer, said Buchan demonstrated a good understanding of the brief and presented a strong response that clearly demonstrated that they understood what we wanted to achieve.

“We connected with Buchan straight away – from the initial credentials meeting and throughout the entire pitch process. We were impressed by their ideas and approach. It was evident Buchan had the skills and experience we were looking for,” Williams said.

“Not only were they passionate about our business, it was also fantastic to know we’ll have day-to-day access to the senior team on our account. I am looking forward to seeing what new heights we can reach with PR in their capable hands.”

Buchan GM, Gemma Hudson, said the win was a great fit for the company.

“We’re delighted by the opportunity to work with an iconic Australian brand such as HCF.  As an agency with a focus on health communication, corporate positioning and brand building, HCF felt like a perfect match from the first meeting and we’re looking forward to bringing these core strengths together in the year ahead.

The appointment follows a number of other exciting high profile account wins across health and consumer for Buchan including e-Harmony, JAX Tyres, and JDRF.
