Seven Dances over Recipe to Riches finale

Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) strutted Seven to the top of the ratings last night, helping the network to a combined 34% share of all free-to-air viewers.

DWTS won 1.204 million viewers for Seven, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

At 7.30pm the competition beat Nine’s The Big Bang Theory (650,000) and the finale of Recipe to Riches on Ten.

The final episode of Recipe to Riches pulled in 511,000 viewers for Ten after debuting on August 28 to an audience of 616,000 people.

NCIS was Ten’s best performing program, taking ninth spot with 702,000 viewers. It came second only to Seven’s long-running program DWTS in its 8.30pm timeslot.

Ten just missed out on beating the ABC, the commercial network won a combined 19.4% share of all viewers behind the ABC’s 19.5%.

Ten’s main channel took 13.5% while ABC1 took 14.1%.

Ten came third in the commercial stakes with Seven leading with 25.1% for its main channel.

Nine sat on a total 20.8% with just 14.8% for its primary channel.

SBS was left with 6.2% share of viewers with 5.2% for SBS ONE.
