Norbit & Queensland Rugby League Lead Maroons Fans On AR Treasure Hunt

Brisbane-based customer loyalty app Norbit has teamed up with Queensland Rugby League (QRL) to create the official Maroon Festival app and new Legends Walk augmented reality (AR) treasure hunt.

Norbit worked with QRL to offer sponsors, partners and local businesses a chance to engage with their customers through special deals and prizes available exclusively on the Maroon Festival app.

The unique feature of the app that transformed each Maroon legend into a 3D virtual statue right before your eyes in just one of the ways Norbit revolutionised the experience.

Using the latest AR technology, Maroon Festival-goers were able to connect with the virtual images of legendary State of Origin greats and even snap a picture with them.

With fans able to stroll the Legends Walk and simultaneously scroll the app to see their favourite Rugby League legends, Norbit allowed users to see their QRL heroes come to life.
