Sydney-based sales and marketing recruitment specialist Kara Atkinson has launched SPARC, the first sales leader network in Australia for elite sales leaders.

After 18 years of recruiting sales and marketing executive roles, Atkinson has launched the network to provide support for sales leaders, who are often “the forgotten ones in an organisation” she said. “The sales leader role can be lonely and is accountable for the result of the entire business.”

Aimed at sales leaders who manage more than $20 million in revenue and have more than 5 direct reports, SPARC ensures members have a strong personal brand and positioning external to their employer and the logo on their card.

“Members will instantly become better networked, and will stop the profound loneliness that comes with being the person accountable for the sales result.” Atkinson said. “Strategic networking with their peers means new sales opportunities, new career opportunities and blood on the wall conversations with no ramifications.”

At the epicentre of SPARC is the SPARC Academy.  This learning and professional development ecosystem is cutting edge content built entirely for sales leaders, assisting them to face their challenges and power up their performance. It delivers custom opportunities and bespoke networking events with up close and personal access to guest speakers, specialists and other like-minded members who are proven experts in sales and marketing.

Every new SPARC membership also activates a donation of $199 to the GO Foundation, which provides mentoring, leadership, networks and support to Indigenous students on their journey from Kindergarten to Employment.

“This initiative demonstrates our company values, with a strong commitment to our learning Ecosystem,” Atkinson added. “We are proud to invest in our philanthropic values and to pursue a collaborative effort with a charity that is making a positive difference in Australia.”

Atkinson plans for SPARC to go global over the next five years, building a significant profile for each member beyond their backyard and further than their industry.
