Insurance Company Gives New Meaning To Term ‘Hopeless Romantic’ In Sweet V-Day Campaign

‘Confidence. Get It Back’ is the tagline of Newz Zealand firm TOWER Insurance, and the main message behind it’s one-day Valentines Insurance campaign for lovers who’d forgotten to spoil their special someone on V-Day.

TOWER Insurance and agency Barnes Catmur & Friends gave new meaning to the term ‘hopeless romantic’ when they offered a special kind of insurance, via Facebook, press, radio and plane banner, encouraging those who would have forgotten to celebrate the day to claim on the unique offer.

TOWER then selected 12 lucky couples, who enjoyed a fine dining experience at Meredith’s that night.

TOWER Insurance head of marketing Greta Yardley said the response was overwhelmingly positive on the day.

“It seems quite a few people had overlooked Valentine’s this year. The campaign was a little different for an insurance company, but we felt that Valentine’s Day was a day where we could help Kiwis look out for their loved ones,” she said.

“The campaign sets out to extend our brand positioning. It helps connect with Kiwis through engaging and fun creative, as well as deliver the benefits of insurance.”
