Havas’ Ian Davidson Joins Innocean Worldwide As Head Of Sponsorships & Events

Advertising and marketing agency Innocean Worldwide Australia has announced the appointment of Ian Davidson as head of sponsorship and events.

Davidson joins Innocean having spent considerable time at Havas Sports and Entertainment and Octagon. Prior to that, he worked with Red Bull in the UK.

Innocean CEO Peter Fitzhardinge said: “Ian has a great track record in activating sport sponsorships, and his considered and thoughtful Scottish style won me over. He will bring a lot to the role and to the team.”

Comenting on his new role, Davidson said: “I was attracted to the role, as it’s a huge opportunity to work with some of the best sponsorships in the country, and I’m looking forward to delivering work that will represent a benchmark in leverage and activation for our clients.

“Working with the talents of people like Steve Jackson and his creative team was a real drawcard.”

Innocean’s portfolio of sponsorships under its care include The Australian Open tennis, the Hyundai A-League, the Matildas (Australia’s national women’s football team), Australian Open Golf, and a number of teams across the NRL and AFL.
