Schwartz Media is congratulating Maddison Connaughton on her three years as editor of The Saturday Paper.

Connaughton has decided to finish up her editorship this month.

“It’s been an honour to edit the paper,” Connaughton said.

The Saturday Paper is one of the brightest voices in Australian media and I have been happy to see it thrive under my editorship. After three years, it’s the right time to move on.”

Schwartz Media’s editor-in-chief Erik Jensen said, “Maddison is a skilled editor and it has been a pleasure working with her on The Saturday Paper. I look forward to seeing what she does next.”

Proprietor Morry Schwartz said, “Maddison is a real talent and we have been lucky to work with her on the paper.”

The Saturday Paper, along with other Schwartz Media titles, has gone through a period of strong growth in the past few years. It is a vibrant and vital publication, producing some of the country’s best narrative journalism.

After launching in 2014, under founding editor Erik Jensen, The Saturday Paper has established itself as a key voice in Australian news and culture.

It has recently expanded is coverage and continues to offer the weekend’s strongest voices and clearest thinking.

Erik Jensen will continue editing the paper as editor-in-chief.
