LinkedIn has launched its first-ever LinkedIn for Jobs Bootcamp.
Each day, for the week of Monday, January 18 to Friday, January 22, Jobs Bootcamp will go live at 12noon AEDT on LinkedIn News Australia, where job-seekers will be able to jump online and ask all their burning career-related questions.
LinkedIn users will hear from Olympian and businessman Michael Klim, to Boost Juice founder Janine Allis, Mentored host Mark Bouris, Resilience NSW Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons as well as special guests from Canva, Telstra, Woolworths Group, Adore Beauty and more.
New LinkedIn research shows 33% of Australians plan to actively look for a new job this year, and they know it’s not going to be a walk in the park. After all, 64% said job seeking impacted their mental health, with 33% agreeing job seeking weakened their confidence.
LinkedIn Career Expert Shiva Kumar said job seekers were increasingly realising their community was there to support them.
“Job seeking can be a long-drawn process so it’s key to break it down into simple steps that you can execute and seek advice from your community,” he said.
“Over a quarter of Australians said that reconnecting and networking with former colleagues both offline and online is the most effective way to getting a job in 2021.”
