Last week rumours were doing the rounds that none other than Kyle Sandilands was being lured to Network Ten to host some sort of Judge Judy-esque reality show where the shock-jock would apparently try and “resolve issues” between celebrities and members of the public.
For its part, Ten was decidedly quiet on the idea, nor did Sandilands make any public comment that he was all set to pull on the judge’s robe and gavel.
Judge Jude aside, yesterday Sandilands admitted on his morning KISSFM breakfast show that he had been approached by MTV to star in his very own reality TV show, although the idea was still very much in the discussion stages.
Responding to a listener question about the possibility of landing his own show, Sandilands admitted: “I gotta say something, I probably shouldn’t, but MTV have come to us and said, ‘hey,’ and MTV, they make pretty good reality shows,” he said.
“I wouldn’t do a Channel Ten one like the Lara Bingle one (Being Lara Bingle). And MTV would be also in other countries. So that’s pretty exciting.”
Apparently, the show would focus on Sandiland’s radio career and his personal life and eccentric girlfriend Imogen Anthony.
Sandilands is, of course, no stranger to Aussie TV screens having hosted Big Brother and appearing as a judge on Australian Idol, The X Factor and Australia’s Got Talent.
