Controversial breakfast radio team Kyle Sandilands and Jackie “O” Henderson are set to continue their dominance on the radio waves, with both agreeing to five-year contract extensions at KIIS FM.

ARN, the media company that owns the popular radio station, was coy about the value of the duo’s new contracts, but according to The Sydney Morning Herald, Sandilands and Henderson are set to earn $20 million each during the next five years based on fees, incentives and revenue share.

Since launching KIIS 1065 in 2014, the Kyle & Jackie O show has held the number one FM breakfast show title more times than any other Sydney breakfast team, and is unbeaten in the ratings so far this year, according to ARN.

Sandilands said there was never any doubt in his mind that KISS was the breakfast team’s home for the long haul, “because we helped create it”.

“It’s my baby,” Sandilands said in a media statement. “Jackie and I are still doing what we love and doing it better than ever.”

Henderson said KIIS has a vibrant energy not only on air, but throughout the company.

“It’s a great place to be,” she said.

“Kyle and I both love what we do, giving our audience access to the world’s biggest celebrities and hottest entertainment news and gossip, and I am really looking forward to delivering even more of this over the next few years.”

ARN chief executive Tony Kendall said the pair are worldwide stars and have been an integral part of the company’s growth over the past three years.

“They will continue to be instrumental in the station and company’s success,” he said.

“And it’s not only the radio ratings that Kyle and Jackie dominate. Kyle and Jackie O’s fan engagement extends to a social reach of over 2 million active followers, more than 1.9 million monthly video streams and 1.5 million monthly unique users on the KIIS website.

“This is all testament to the deep connection Kyle and Jackie O have with their audiences.”

Duncan Campbell, national content director at ARN, said he is thrilled that Sandilands and Henderson will continue to be KIIS’s breakfast show.

“The breakfast shift is the most gruelling and competitive in the market and the Kyle & Jackie O show has rated the outright number one FM breakfast team every year for the past decade, and they have by far the biggest breakfast audience in Sydney.

“It has been an incredible three years at KIIS 1065 and I’m excited to see what the next five years hold for the Kyle & Jackie O show.”

In June 2015, Sandilands and Henderson were reportedly offered $12 million to return to their former home of 2Day FM, which was then upped to $20 million this year, according to SMH.
